When Will You Get Your Vaccination

The COVID-19 vaccination programme across Greater Glasgow and Clyde is being rolled out in accordance with the priority list agreed by the Scottish Government and the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).

People Age 80 and Over Image

People in this age group are being contacted by their GP, who will give details of when and where they will receive their vaccination, which may be at the local GP surgery or community clinic.

People Age 75-79 Image

People aged 75-79

People in the 75-79 age group are being contacted by their GP with details of when and where they will receive their vaccination, which may be at the local GP surgery or community clinic.

People Age 70 - 74 Image

People aged 70-74

People aged 70-74 will receive a letter inviting them to attend one of 17 community vaccination clinic in our six local authority areas.


The clinic they will be invited to attend will in the majority of cases be the one closest to their home, and in some cases that may be in a neighbouring local authority area. For a list of vaccination clinics, see ‘Vaccination Clinics’ below.

People in the clinically extremely vulnerable (shielding group) are being contacted by their GP with details of when and where they will receive their vaccination, which may be at the local GP surgery or community clinic.

People Who Are Housebound Image

People who are housebound

People within this group are being contacted by their GP with details of when they will receive their vaccination. Vaccinations are being administered by district nursing teams within Health and Social Care Partnerships.

Vaccination clinics

The locations of the 17 vaccination clinics in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area have been agreed with local authorities and meet a range of criteria to allow vaccinations to be delivered safely and also to be able to accommodate significant numbers of people.
