Clinics
All GP Practices are contracted to provide "essential medical health services" to patients.
Other services and clinics available to patients include:
Cervical Smear
Cervical smears are recommended every three years for all women, aged 20 - 60 years. This is an important yet simple test. It can detect early signs of disease which can be treated. We participate in the Health Board recall system which will remind you when your repeat smear is due. Appointments are usually made with the Practice Nurse
Breast Screening
We participate in the National Breast Screening Programme. All female patients between the ages of 50 and 70 are offered mammography every three years.
Family Planning Advice
Family planning advice is available from any of the doctors
Antenatal Clinic
This is run by a Community Midwife at the Milngavie Clinic.
Child Development Clinic

Both our Practice Nurses are trained in travel immunisation. Please contact the practice about six weeks before you intend to travel to discuss what is required. Advice is free and many of the immunisations are also free. However, there is a charge for some immunisations, particularly those required for more exotic locations
Smoking Cessation Advice:
Smoking Cessation advice and help is available from any of the Doctors, Practice Nurses and the local pharmacies. You can also self refer to Anne Gordon, Smoking Cessation Coordinator, at Milngavie Clinic (0141 232 4800) for one-to-one or group sessions
